Eligibility:
- The candidates must not be Chinese nationals and be in good health.
Applicants for bachelor’s degrees must be recent high school graduates and under 25 years of age.
Applicants for master’s programs must have a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
Applicants for doctoral programs must have a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.

Application Process:
- STEP1: Log in http://edu.sh.gov.cn/study_cn/ , choose Shanghai Government Scholarship,and complete the application online.
- STEP2: Log inhttp://apply.shu.edu.cn to complete the online application. Pay the application fee (RMB 500) which is non-refundable.
- STEP3: Shanghai University Scholarship Committee will review the application materials and determine scholarship candidates’ list.
- STEP4: Publish the scholarship candidates’ list online at late of June (http://apply.shu.edu.cn).
- STEP5: Pay the tuition deposit online and receive official admission documents.
