Eligibility: 

• Students are classified as an international student
• Students are commencing their first semester at UQ
• Students are commencing an approved UQ Faculty of Science program (minimum one-year duration). See Terms & Conditions for a full list of approved programs.
• Students should have met the conditions of your offer by the scholarship’s closing date (you don’t need to accept your full offer by the scholarship application deadline)
• Students must demonstrate strong academic performance in their previous studies.

Selection Criteria: 

Academic standing of the student (as indicated by the qualifications you provided when applying to the UQ Faculty of Science program)
Ability of the student to make a difference and advance science (based on the personal statement you included with your scholarship application).

Students must submit an application form and a personal statement to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.
