The Russian Government Scholarships program for international students for the academic year 2024/2025 will begin for applications in September 2023.

Numerous scholarships are available from the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation for international students who wish to study for a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Russia. For those who desire to enhance their education in the Russian Federation, it is a terrific opportunity. The application will be available starting on September 1 and will end on November 1 of 2023, according to the Russian Embassy in Kabul.

How to Apply for the Scholarship?

First, you need to create an account for yourself on the EDUCATION IN RUSSIA website
After the registration, login and fill out an electronic form
In the electronic form, indicate Personal Information (Full Name, Date of Birth, Country of Residence, Current Address, Email, and Contact Number)
Level of your current education
Upload the required documents
Russian Language proficiency and other languages
Select your field and choose six universities you would like to study from those universities available within the quota. (in Moscow and St. Petersburg, you cannot select more than two universities in each city)
You should print your application and sign it then upload and submit it.

Wait for the invitation to participate in the selection process (Interviews, Tests, Examination) after you have finished the form and submitted it.

Applicants who don’t speak Russian well enough to pursue their chosen field of study must spend a year taking Russian language courses in a preparatory department.

After your competitive selection, it could take up to two months before you hear about the results.
