ichard Ernest Glazebrook Environment Scholarship is offered for Bachelors, Masters degree in the field of All research fields offered by the university.
The application must be submitted by December 31, 2023. The University of Tasmania is offering this scholarship, which has a partial funding value of AUD 10,000 for a single year. The award is available to all citizens.
Background:
The University will use this donation in accordance with the late Mr. Glazebrook’s desires to award scholarships to students pursuing honors research on the environmental effects of anticipated developments in Tasmania. Research initiatives should focus on environmental justice in relation to planned development decision-making, including valuing the environment above all else, utilizing Aboriginal cultural values as a point of reference, and honoring local community values. A successful project or projects should concentrate on obtaining evidence from scientists regarding how developments affect the environment and how choices are documented, made, and carried out after consultation with Aboriginal people over matters pertaining to their territory.

To retain this scholarship, students are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.
