LION scholarship is offered for Masters degree in the field of Physics.
The application submission date is February 1, 2024. The Leiden University is offering this scholarship, which has an annual value of 6,000 EUROS and is considered partial funding. Any non-Dutch national is eligible to apply for this Scholarship.
Scholarships from the Den Adel Fund for Experimental Physics and the Lorentz Fund for Theoretical Physics are available to non-Dutch nationals through the Leiden Institute of Physics (LION). Based on academic performance, scholarships are given to around 10% of the admitted individuals.
Each scholarship, which has a value of € 6000 a year, is awarded for a year and may be renewed for a second year provided the student meets the requirements (i.e., 60EC with a first-year GPA of at least 8). Please be aware that receiving a scholarship does not exempt you from paying tuition at Leiden University or from having to show “proof of sufficient funds” when you apply to the Dutch Immigration Office for a residence permit or student visa (which is required for non-EU citizens).
