Eligibility Criteria for the DAAD Scholarship:

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the necessary academic requirements and demonstrate the ability to successfully complete a study program in Germany, including achieving higher-than-average results in their first academic exam and exhibiting strong language skills.
They must have a bachelor’s degree (usually a four-year course) in an appropriate subject.

Applicants have at least two years of professional experience.
Furthermore, applicants can demonstrate that their motivation is related to development.
After completing their training/scholarship, the recipients are expected to take on social responsibility and actively initiate and support processes of change in their personal and professional environment.
The last academic degree (usually a bachelor’s degree) should have been completed no more than six years before.

DAAD Scholarship Coverage:

Depending on the academic level, monthly payments of 850 euros for graduates or 1,200 euros for doctoral applicants.
Payments for health insurance, accidents, and civil liability will be provided.
Subsidy for monthly rent for all applicants.
Travel expenses, unless these expenses are covered by the country of origin or other sources of funding.
However, DAAD scholarship does not cover tuition fees.

Requirements for Scholarship in Germany:

Personally signed CV (please use the sample Europass format) with the current date.
Personally signed Letter of Motivation (with reference to current occupation and choice of postgraduate program (s), two pages maximum) with the current date.

IMPORTANT:

You must send one motivation letter outlining your reasons for enrolling for these particular courses and why you made them your top priority if you are applying for more than one postgraduate course (a maximum of three courses).
Recommendation letter from your current job; the letter must be on company letterhead, include your signature and an official stamp, be current, and not be in a sealed envelope.
Certificate(s) of Employment from the employer(s) attesting to at least two years of relevant work experience (after the bachelor’s degree) at the time of application, as well as, if at all feasible, a promise that your current employer will continue to hire you when you return home.

Proof of Language Skills:
- English – IELTS or TOEFL (Note: The institutional TOEFL is not accepted)
- German – required for courses taught in German
