For Bachelors and Masters degrees in the university’s programs, Amsterdam University of the Arts is offering a Talent Grant in 2023. The application submission date is June 1, 2023.
The value of this scholarship, which is given by Amsterdam School of the Arts (AHK), is only tuition costs and a partial fee waiver. Non-EEA citizens are eligible for this scholarship.
Outstanding students who want to attend Amsterdam University of the Arts might get financial aid through the institution’s Talent Award program.

Each application will be assessed on the basis of the student’s potential, as well as their financial situation.
Value of the Grant:
The successful applicants of the Amsterdam University of the Arts Talent Grant will receive an award of an amount that equals the difference between institutional tuition fees and government-subsidized tuition fees.
Who is eligible?
The applicant or student is a citizen of a non-EEA nation (aside from Switzerland and Suriname, which are ineligible for this grant program);
The applicant or student exhibits extraordinary merit;
When attending the AHK, the student will reside in the Netherlands full-time; the institutional tuition fees are higher because they are not covered by the state; and
The applicant, who has not yet begun enrollment at the AHK, must have achieved success on the admission exam.
Each application will be evaluated based on the financial position and potential of the applicant.
How to apply
Each applicant will need to be assessed by the head of their study programme at the AHK before they can apply for this grant. Please contact the student adviser of your academy to find out whether you meet the criteria of this grant. If you are eligible to apply according to the head of the study programme, you’ll receive an application form from the student adviser or contact person for the Talent Grant. You will need to submit the application before 1 June 2023.
The head of the study programme is entitled to set their own criteria for what is considered ‘exceptional merit’. The director of each academy will make a ranking of the applications; the ranking will be presented to the Executive Board of the AHK for a final decision. The application results will be announced no later than 15 July 2023.
The Talent Grant cannot be granted retrospectively for academic years that the student has already completed .
