Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme by Research Grants Council 2025-26 is offered for PhD degree in the field of Sciences, Medicine, Engineering and Technology Humanities, Social Sciences and Business Studies.

The goal of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), which was established in 2009 by the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong, is to entice exceptional students from across the world to pursue PhD programs at Hong Kong’s universities.

  • Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic performance, research ability, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicants must be enrolled as full-time PhD students at any of the following universities:

    • The Chinese University of Hong Kong
