For the Fully Supported Special Research Fund Doctoral Scholarships 2024 Belgium, applications are now being accepted. Fully funded opportunities to study in Belgium are provided via Ghent University Scholarships. Scholarships at Ghent University attract applicants from all over the world. A student can develop into a valued part of the community by gaining real-world experience in a multicultural community made up of scholars.
Ghent University, which is located in the North, is interested in helping universities and research institutes in underdeveloped nations (South) become top-notch research institutions by improving local academic employees.
Promising Ph.D. candidates from a variety of southern nations who wish to perform 50% of their Ph.D. research at the institution (the “North”) and 50% of it in a chosen southern nation are being offered a Ph.D. scholarship by Ghent University for a period of 24 months. In 2023, prospective Ph.D. students will be able to launch their careers internationally and have a significant impact on their subjects.
The candidate will be permitted to complete their Ph.D. at Ghent University for 24 months in exchange for the “sandwich” scholarship (within the span of 48 months). The scholarship holder must spend a minimum of two months in Ghent over the scholarship’s 24-month duration: one at the start of the program and one close to the finish.
When the recipient of the scholarship is employed by Ghent University, the university will pay the recipient a monthly stipend. The remaining Ph.D. research will be carried out at the southern partner university without any financial support.
2nd Feb 2024 is the last date to apply for this Scholarship program.
