German Medical Students’ Association – Professional Exchange 2023 Fully Funded
For those pursuing a bachelor’s degree in medicine, the German Medical Students’ Association – Professional Exchange/Research Exchange 2023 is available.
Your application must be submitted by April 30, 2023. The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) is the provider of this scholarship, which has a full funding value that includes housing, a travel stipend, and insurance. Any citizens are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
For the purpose of gaining practical experience abroad, medical students of any nationality registered in German higher education institutions are eligible for a clinical traineeship exchange, a research internship, or a public health exchange. In order to do this, the German Medical Students’ Association (bvmd) organizes more than 400 international internships each year. The arrangement comprises the placement of the candidates as well as the planning of on-site housing for clinical trainees or research interns. Additionally, the bvmd offers room and board and gives students the chance to interact with their counterparts in the host nation.
In addition to the bvmd application fee, students must fund a public health exchange themselves and pay project fees. In contrast to the research internships, which are scheduled in various working groups or institutions with a variety of significant research fields, the clinical traineeship exchange will take place in teaching hospitals. Health organizations and (non-)governmental organizations will build up the public health exchange. The Professional Exchange/Research Exchange program of the German Medical Students’ Association supports who want to work abroad.
Academic Requirements:
enrolled at a German medical university can only apply for the clinical traineeship exchange after completing the 4th semester or 6th trimester. For research and public health exchanges, in medical-related study programmes may also apply from the 1st semester. In the case of the clinical traineeship exchange, a clinical traineeship must have already been completed by the time you start your traineeship abroad .
