International students have a fantastic opportunity to study at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) through the USTC Fellowship.

In order to allow students to focus on their studies without worrying about money, this prestigious award offers two types of financial aid: completely financed and tuition fee waiver. Only one fellowship level will be given out based on eligibility, though candidates may apply for both.

Level A:

Eligibility:

• be foreign nationals holding a current passport.
• Maintain a healthy body and mind.
• Show documentation of attending a Chinese-medium high school or HSK Level 5 or higher.
• By September 1, 2025, the age must be under 30.
• By July 2025, a high school diploma or its equivalent must be obtained.
• Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, and mainland China emigrants must apply for foreign citizenship prior to April 30, 2021, and reside overseas for a minimum of two years between April 30, 2021, and April 30, 2025.
• For the academic year 2025–2026, no other Chinese scholarships or funding are available.
