After Lewis E. McKinley passed away in 1998, his estate created the Layton Frazier McKinley Scholarship in memory of their late sibling Layton Frazier McKinley, who died in 1992. Before enlisting in World War II, the McKinley siblings both attended Indiana University. In 1948, Layton returned to IU to complete his business administration degree, finishing with the Magna Cum Laude. The scholarship is awarded to Kelley School of Business students with a minimum grade point average of “B+,” with priority given to twins, particularly identical twins.
Eligibility for the USA Scholarships Layton Frazier McKinley Scholarship:
- Students must have a GPA of 3.3 or higher to be eligible.
- The scholarship is available for Twins and preference is given to identical twins.
- The preference is given to candidates for accounting majors.
- The twins should have at least a B+ grade .
