About the scholarship:
Melbourne Law School alumni Zelman Cowen (LLB 1940) was a highly accomplished academic and public leader from Melbourne. He was also a veteran of World War II and an unusually talented student. He received the Supreme Court Prize in addition to the Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford. Afterwards, he served as Governor General from 1977 to 1982, Dean of Melbourne Law School, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Queensland, and Chairman of the Vice-Chancellors’ Committee.

The scholarship is awarded to the students with the highest University of Melbourne equivalent score at entry.
Application Process:
No application is required. Students will be automatically considered for this award upon enrollment with the university.
