University of British Columbia Public Scholars Award 2022-23 Canada
The scholarship is titled as Public Scholars Award; the scholarship award is open to Canadian and international students to pursue doctoral degree programs. Doctoral students must be completing their PhD on something that will lead to public benefit. This Ph.D. scholarship aims to build connections and capacity for doctoral students.
Successful students will receive a total sum of $20,000 to be used as a stipend and research purposes or to travel for research work. 30 to 40 candidates will be selected; they can renew the scholarship for the second year too.

Eligibility Criteria :
Here are the eligibility criteria for the scholarships in Canada:
- Applicants must be enrolled at the University of British Columbia for a doctoral program.
- They must be completing their Ph.D. in a subject that will lead to public benefit.
- International and Canadian students can apply.
- Applicants must not be more than 48 months along in their Ph.D.
- Moreover, they must have enrolled for their Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia by 1 September 2022.
- Furthermore, applicants must have a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.
