Subject to funding availability, JJ/WBGSP offers scholarships for 52 Participating Master’s Programs at 27 universities in the US, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and Japan in crucial development subjects such infrastructure management, tax policy, and economic policy management.

Eligibility:
- The applicant cannot be dual citizens of more than one developed nation;
- The candidate must be in excellent health and possess a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, obtained at least three years before the application deadline.
- The candidate must have a full-time, paid job connected to development at the time the scholarship application is submitted. hold a bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent university degree) and have worked in a paid development-related capacity for at least three years. The job must have been obtained within the last six years from the application deadline.
- By the deadline for scholarship applications, the applicant must, at the latest, be accepted unconditionally (apart from financial support) into a minimum of one master’s program participating in the JJ/WBGSP, which must be situated outside the applicant’s country of citizenship and place of residence. Before completing the scholarship application, the letter of admission must be uploaded.
- The candidate must not hold the position of Executive Director, his or her alternate, or staff member of any World Bank Group appointment, nor be a close family member of any of the aforementioned by blood or adoption. “Close relative” is defined as the following: mother, father, sister, half-sister, brother, half-brother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew.
- Reapplication is not permitted for those who have previously been given a JJ/WBGSP scholarship but turned it down or who have previously been awarded a scholarship but did not complete their education.
