- They must demonstrate excellent records in extracurricular activities and possess strong leadership abilities.
- The grantee must maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 out of 5.0 starting in Term 2 and pass every subject in Term 1.
- At least 20 hours of service to the university must be completed by recipients.
- They must have outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ level, Local Polytechnic Diploma, NUS High School Diploma, IB Diploma, or Year 12 equivalent qualifications
- Scholars must serve a six-year bond with a Singapore-registered company as soon as they graduate.
Note:
Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) and International Students (IS) of any Asian nation or area (apart from Singapore) are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Benefits:
- The reduced tuition costs (after the Tuition Grant) for the standard four-year duration of each degree program that SUTD
- A S$6,000 living allowance for the awardees each school year
- Accommodation allowance equal to the cheapest double room rate for on-campus housing per academic year
- A one-time computer allowance of S$1,750* upon matriculation, a one-time settling-in allowance of S$200, and one-way air transportation from the home country to Singapore at the start of the study program and back to the home country at the conclusion of the program
