Eligibility

• The applicants for the Shanghai Government Scholarship should be international applicants (other than China).
• Candidates should be in good health.
• Applicants should be an enrolled degree student in Chinese universities at the time of application.
• Candidates applying for undergraduate programs should be high school graduates under the age of 25.
• Candidates applying for doctoral programs should be master’s degree holders under the age of 40.
• Candidates applying for master’s programs should be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35.
• Applicants of the scholarship are expected to have excellent academic and extra-curricular performance.
• Candidates should be receiving or should have been awarded any other scholarships offered by the Chinese government.

Documents required 

The required photo for the Shanghai Government Scholarship is a D photo, which is a one-inch certificate photo (390*570) with a background of blue.
Fill out the application for either the SGS or CSC scholarship.
an original passport.
The candidate’s highest degree certificate and transcripts are needed.
A letter of acceptance from the manager.
In China, a study plan or research proposal: Written in either English or Chinese, it includes information on the research goals you have set for yourself, your reasons for choosing SHU, your study and research plan, and more.
The two letters of recommendation should be sent in either Chinese or English by two separate instructors, associate professors, or work supervisors from prior academic institutions.
