The Shadow lawn Science Grant is given to first-year students (freshmen) pursuing a major in the School of Science. The award is worth $2,500 per year for students starting in Fall 2022 and later.
The Office of Undergraduate Admission will automatically review all students, and there is no separate application process for the grant. The scholarship is renewable each year if the student has a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, is enrolled full-time (12 or more credits), and is pursuing a degree in a School of Science major.
Important information about the Shadow lawn Science Grant:
- It can only be used for tuition at Monmouth University and cannot be used for housing costs.
- The award is not available to students who participate in tuition remission or tuition exchange programs.
- During the summer, grants are not available.
- For each semester of the award, students must be enrolled full-time (i.e., 12 or more credits).
- ONLY when tuition is assessed by Monmouth University can awards be applied toward study abroad charges.
- Students enrolled in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Medical Technology programs who attend off-campus clinical semesters are eligible for a prorated award.
- Students enrolled part-time (less than 12 credits) who are student teachers may be eligible for a prorated award.
