Eligibility for Science Communication Part-Bursary Scheme at the University of West England:

• Applicants may come from any nationality.
• Applicants must have applied for the MSc Science Communication by 13 June 2025.
• Applicants must be commencing their course in September 2024.
• Applicants must have been offered an unconditional or conditional offer of admission.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must complete one of the following:

• Write a short, easy-to-read article (max 300 words) on a science, health, or environmental topic. Include a headline. Explain its audience, the types of articles it publishes, and why your article suits that publication. Choose a newspaper, magazine, or website that shares science-related content for general readers. OR
• Create a 300-word outline for a science communication activity. This could be a stage show at a science festival, a traveling exhibition, or another idea. The outline should explain the activity, outline its content, and describe the target audience in no more than 200 words.

The successful candidates are awarded a bursary worth GBP 1,500.
