Established in 2009 by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC), the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme aims to attract outstanding students from around the world to pursue their PhD degree programmes in Hong Kong’s institutions.

Benefits of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme for International Students:

• The successful candidates will receive an an annual stipend of HK$340,800 (approximately US$43,690), a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$14,200 (approximately US$1,820) per year for each awardee for a period up to three years.
