Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business and supply chain management at Northumbria University are eligible to apply for the 2025 RHA Benevolent Fund Scholarships.

Your application must be submitted by August 31, 2025. Northumbria University is offering this scholarship, which has a total financial value of £5,000. This award is open to applications from citizens of Ireland and the UK.

RHA Benevolent Fund Scholarships 25–26

The RHA (Road Haulage Association) Benevolent Fund will be used to create and support two undergraduate scholarships that align with Northumbria’s Higher Education Without Barriers Campaign.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicant must be from the United Kingdom or their native country, which includes students who live in the Channel Islands, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man.
  • Agree to provide Northumbria University your consent through your Government Finance Provider.
  • Make sure you meet all admission requirements before applying and enrolling in the full-time, September 2025, BA (Hons) Business and Supply Chain Management program at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus.
  • Apply for a maintenance loan, tuition fee loan, or any other component of the government student funding package.
  • Registration is required by Student Finance England (SFE), Student Finance Wales (SFW), or Student Finance Northern Ireland (SFNI).
  • In order for the Student Award Agency for Scotland (SAAS) to forward your information to Student Finance England, Scottish students must register with SAAS and ask to be means-tested for maintenance assistance.
  • be a self-supporting student, which means they don’t get any funding.

  • £416 (25%) will be paid by the end of November 2025, £416 (25%) by the end of February 2026, and £835 (50%) by the end of May 2026 with the award.

Candidates must apply in writing using an online application. Give a brief explanation of your professional goals in business, including how a scholarship might help you reach them, in no more than 3000 characters (500 words). Explain the impact this scholarship will have on your life. Applications will be evaluated according to how well they meet a set of marking criteria.
