Eligibility for Marian Cranwell Prize:
- The Marian Cranwell Prize will be awarded annually to the student who, in the opinion of the selection panel, completed the best thesis or dissertation focussing on the areas of environmental or ecological science, including the cultural history of environmental areas, in fulfillment of the requirements for a Masters or PhD degree.
- To be eligible for this scholarship, the thesis or dissertation must have been submitted and examined in accordance with University regulations, and the award of the degree approved between 1 January and 31 December of the previous year.
Value of Marian Cranwell Prize:
- The value of the Marian Cranwell Prize will be $3,600.The University of Auckland Council will decide whether to award the Marian Cranwell Prize after consulting with a selection committee made up of the head of the school of biological sciences (or a nominee) and the head of the school of environment. If there are no candidates with adequate merit in any given year, the University of Auckland Council is not required to award the Prize .
