Eligibility Criteria for Graduate Research Excellence Scholarship:
Applicants must:
- Be new or first-year graduate research students at Monash University Malaysia.
- Hold or be offered admission to a research master’s or doctoral programme.
- Have at least a First Class Honours (H1) or equivalent qualification.
- Meet the university’s academic and English language entry requirements.
- Demonstrate strong academic record, research output, or prior research experience.
- Not have already completed a research degree at the same level.
- Obtain approval if receiving external sponsorship or funding.
Value of Graduate Research Excellence Scholarship:
- Full tuition fee waiver.
- Monthly stipend of MYR 2,950 (in 2026).
- Research master’s support for up to 2 years (full-time equivalent).
- Doctoral support for up to 3.5 years (or until thesis submission, whichever comes earlier).
- Additional requirement to contribute up to 240 hours/year in academic or research support activities.
