Applications are open for the Malaysian Government Masters Scholarships for international students. The government of Malaysia aids fully-funded scholarships to encourage technical cooperation with other countries. The scholarship is open for international students from developing countries to pursue postgraduate studies at top international universities. The Malaysian Government Masters Scholarships are granted for 12 to 24 months.

The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) was established in 1980. This government scholarship program aims to support other developing countries and share experiences with them. Further, strengthening ties with countries. Each year MTCP offers more than 65 technical training. To date, more than 35,000 participants have benefited from MTCP programs. Moreover, applicants from 144 developing countries have participated until now.

Eligibility Criteria :

Here are more details about the Malaysian Government Masters Scholarships 2022-23:

  • Applicants must be full-time Master’s students.
  • Must belong to MTCP recipient countries. The list of countries is available online.
  • Must not be over the age of 45.
  • Furthermore, they must have obtained a minimum of a second-class upper honors degree.
  • Applicants must achieve a minimum of 3.5 CGPA or equivalent.
  • English proficiency certificate is necessary.
  • Applicants must have an offer letter from at least one eligible Malaysian University.
  • Upon completion of the degree, the applicants must return to their home country.
