Current international students at WWU are eligible to apply for the International Student Scholarship. The partial tuition waivers that are given out as scholarships can only be used in the subsequent academic year. The next academic year, all International Student Scholarship awardees must perform at least 15 hours of cultural service.

Eligibility for the International Student Scholarship:

• The applicant must be the University’s current International student.
• Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students who will attend WWU for at least two quarters during the NEXT academic year.
• Candidates should have a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA at the time of application.
• Applicants must be international students with non-immigrant F-1 visa status.
• Students must have completed at least one quarter at WWU and must maintain a full-time course of study, as stipulated by the F-1 visa regulations, during each quarter they receive the scholarship.

Value of the Scholarship:

This scholarship offers several awards of about $1,500 in the form of partial tuition waivers which may only be used during the following academic year.

Application:

• Prepare and collect supplementary resources.
• Complete the application form (provided by the ISSS).
• Submit your application and additional documents by the deadline (mid-late May).

Note: Only full applications with all supporting materials received on time will be evaluated.
