The 2026 IMD MBA Merit Scholarships are available for MBA degrees. Your application must be submitted by 10 August, 2026.

This scholarship, which has a maximum partial grant of CHF 40,000, is provided by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland. Applications for this award are open to all citizens.

Candidates who excelled in the admissions process and demonstrated their potential as IMD ambassadors and significant future leaders are eligible to receive IMD MBA merit scholarships. At least half of these scholarships are available to women.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Any nationality is acceptable for the application.
• The candidate must have excellent academic or professional status, as evidenced by their GPA (or equivalent) and GMAT/GRE scores.
• The candidate must be able to use the MBA to pursue a leadership position and persuade the selection committee of his or her aspirations.
• The candidate must be able to add to the class’s overall educational experience.
• The candidate is not eligible to receive any more scholarships.

Advantages:

A maximum of CHF 40,000 is given to the chosen applicants.

Procedure for Applications:

• The Scholarships and Bursaries form, included under the Financial Planning portion of the MBA application form, must be filled out by interested students.
• The applicant must turn in a 100-word essay on the following subject:
  • • “As an IMD MBA scholar, what would make you a good ambassador for the MBA program?”
