International students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the Netherlands can now apply for the HAN Scholarship.

In partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, the Association of Universities in the Netherlands, the Netherlands Association of Applied Sciences, and the Dutch Organization for Internationalization in Education, HAN University is offering these scholarships. International applicants who are not from the EU or EEA are eligible for this opportunity.

For applicants seeking a bachelor’s degree, the Han NL Scholarship (HAN Holland Scholarship):

  • Applicants will earn €2,500 in the first and second semesters for this award.
  • For the next three years of their studies, awardees will thereafter get €2,500 year.
  • Students should keep accumulating the necessary 45 credits annually in order to be eligible for the remaining years.
  • The Honors Scholarship is a separate program. It is not necessary for students to apply for an Honors Scholarship.
  • The study program’s academic board will choose eligible students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance in their first year.
  • In the second year, the university begins payment with €2,500.
  • Students will thereafter get €2,500 for each additional year of education after that.

The HAN Honors Scholarship is available to the following students:

  • Students that meet the minimal requirements
  • those who were not awarded a scholarship from HAN Holland.
  • Students must obtain 45 credits annually to be eligible for this grant in subsequent years.

For Master’s Degree Applicants HAN Holland Scholarship:

  • For this scholarship, applicants will earn € 2,500 in the first and second semesters, for a total of € 5000.
  • The Honors Scholarship is a separate program.
  • The academic board of the study program will choose eligible students who have demonstrated exceptional academic accomplishment in their first year; students are not required to apply for the Honors Scholarship.
  • In the second semester, a one-time payment of €2,500 is required for this scholarship.
  • This grant is available to those who did not receive a HAN Holland scholarship.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates must not have previously enrolled in a degree program at a Dutch university or applied sciences institution and must be citizens of a countries outside the EU or EEAM.
  • Present proof that you are enrolled in HAN’s full-time degree program taught in English.
  • Show that you have a Cambridge Certificate (CAE or CPE), a TOEFL iBT score of 90, or an IELTS score of at least 6.5.
