Master’s degrees in the subjects the university offers are eligible for Master Excellence Fellowships at EPFL 2026. Your application must be submitted by March 31, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Any nationality may apply.
• Candidates must be enrolled in an EPFL master’s program.
• All scholarships received throughout the master’s program must be declared by applicants.
• Candidates cannot be awarded an excellence fellowship if their master’s degree at EPFL is a second master’s degree.

Benefits:

• 10,000 CHF each semester
• booking a room in a dorm for students (for “external” candidates only),
• a certificate of excellence upon completion of the master’s degree.

Procedure for Applications:

• External candidates with a bachelor’s degree from an overseas university are required to submit their online applications by either December 15 or March 31.
• Internal candidates must apply online by January 31 or April 15 if they have a bachelor’s degree from EPFL or in the same field of study.

    • A resume,
    • A letter of inspiration,
    • Two letters of recommendation from instructors who are acquainted with students’ work and accomplishments,
    • a record of every grade obtained at EPFL.
    • Internal candidates (with a bachelor’s degree from EPFL or another field of study): Applicants must submit the necessary paperwork via the master’s degree application form.
