Would you like to spend a few incredible months in Florence, Italy? The EUI Leaders Fellowship 2026 in Italy is now accepting applications. The European University Institute (EUI) offers a fully funded five- to ten-month leadership program called the EUI Policy Leader Fellowship (PLF).

This Leadership Program seeks to attract individuals from diverse practical policy-making backgrounds worldwide by inviting applications from various policy domains, such as politics, civil service, media, non-governmental organizations, and more.

Every year, the program selects approximately 20 to 25 people from around the globe. All expenses will be covered by the EUI Leaders Fellowship, and applicants do not need to submit evidence of English test proficiency.

Eligibility Criteria:

• All citizens of Italy are eligible to participate in the EUI Leadership Program. It is not necessary to be an EU citizen.
• You must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. It is not necessary to have a Ph.D.
• There is no cutoff or recommended age.
• Applicants should have at least ten years of relevant work experience and be mid-career professionals.
• Applicants whose work tackles urgent policy issues pertinent to the STG’s focus areas will be given preference.

Advantages:

• A €2,500 monthly stipend is given to fellows to help with living expenses.
• To help with extra home expenses, a €300 monthly allowance is given.
• Each dependent child receives an extra €200 per month.
• Travel expenses, including first-class rail and economy-class aircraft, are covered by a total of €1,200 for fellows.
