DAAD Study Scholarships Fully Funded 

For Masters degrees in the fields of architecture, interior design, monument conservation, urban planning/urban development, regional planning, landscape architecture, and landscape planning, the DAAD Study Scholarships – Postgraduate Studies in the Field of Architecture 2023 are available.

Your application must be submitted by a deadline that varies. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the provider of this scholarship, which has a Full Funding value of 934 euros per month plus a travel allowance and other advantages. Except for Germany, all nationalities are eligible for this award.

Eligibility requirements For DAAD Study Scholarships:

At the time of application, candidates must be overseas students who had just earned their first university degree in architecture or a closely related field.
In a state- or state-recognized German university, applicants must be beginning a Master’s degree, a postgraduate degree, or a complementary course without a final qualification.
Applicants may apply in their second year of study if they are already enrolled in the first year of their postgraduate program in Germany.
Applicants’ final exams must have been taken no later than six months prior to the deadline.
Ineligible applicants are those who have lived in Germany for more than 15 months as of the application deadline.

Funding will be given in the following circumstances if the Master’s or postgraduate degree program in which the applicant is enrolled includes a study abroad component:
The study trip is crucial to achieving the scholarship’s goal.
Less than one-fourth of the scholarship time is dedicated to the study abroad period.
There is no study abroad component to the program.

1–3 page motivational letter
Ask about their top master’s degree choices (for masters degree applicants)
Acceptance letter from the host institution (for masters degree applicants)
confirmation of supervision from a German university professor (for Complementary studies applicants)
All university diplomas and a breakdown of the grading scheme
If they are in a language other than German or English, translations must be submitted.
List of all plans and drawings submitted
Formal declaration of the designs and plans created by them or the participants
evidence of your language skills in both German and English

Selection criteria:

  • The artistic qualification and artistic maturity, measured by study achievements and work samples.
  • The quality of the project as measured by the study plan and the letter of motivation .
