Eligibility Criteria for DAAD Re-invitation Programme for Former Scholarship Holders 2026:

  • Be a former holder of a DAAD research grant or study scholarship funded for more than six months by the German Federal Foreign Office or in a co-financed program.
  • OR be a former East German scholarship holder who studied in Germany for at least one year.
  • Not have lived in Germany for at least three years prior to the planned visit.
  • Have research or a working project coordinated with a cooperation partner in Germany.
  • Be able to undertake the stay in Germany in 2026.
  • Accept that funding may only be claimed once within three years.

    • €2,000 – assistant teachers, assistant professors, lecturers
