SUTD Rainmaker (International) Scholarship

The SUTD Rainmaker (International) Scholarship is a highly attractive scholarship, designed for exceptional individuals who not only excel academically but are also poised to lead and transform industries, communities, and the world.

Eligibility Criteria –

• The applicants must have admission to SUTD’s undergraduate degree programme.
• They must have outstanding Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ level, Local Polytechnic Diploma, NUS High School Diploma, IB Diploma, or Year 12 equivalent qualifications.
• They must also demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and potential.
• The recipient is required to achieve and maintain good academic standing. Academic performance will be reviewed every term.

• They should also possess an excellent record in co-curricular and/or community activities, and have the attitude, desire, and potential to make an impact on society.

Application process –

• Application for scholarships is made at the same time as the application for admission to SUTD.
• Shortlisted applicants will be notified in due course.
• Scholarships are awarded based on competition among eligible applicants.
• SUTD reserves the right not to award any scholarship if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.

Benefits –

The benefits include –

• The subsidised tuition fees (after Tuition Grant) for the normal duration (up to four years) of the respective bachelor’s degree programmes at SUTD
• Annual allowance of S$10,000 (S$5,000 per academic term)
• Travel award of up to S$5,000 for approved overseas programmes, including Global Exchange Programmes (GEXP) and summer programmes which
