The “Jean d’Alembert” scholarship program of IDEX Paris-Saclay, 2024, is open to highly qualified scientists who want to spend time in the University of Paris-Saclay laboratories. There are two distinct programs proposed:
- Junior researcher fellowships for candidates who have obtained their Ph.D. less than ten years before the date of the application,
- Senior researcher fellowships for candidates who have obtained their Ph.D. at least ten years before the date of the application.

Eligibility:
- Doctoral degree or equivalent (obtained in less than ten years at the time of applying for junior researchers).
- Researchers employed permanently at their foreign university or research institution for the duration of the project (tenure track is acceptable, but not long-term postdoctoral positions).
- Applicants who have lived in France for more than six months at the time of application are ineligible.
- French citizens can apply to the program if they have lived and worked abroad for at least five years at the time of application.
Benefits:
- A monthly remuneration of € 2,800 net will be paid by Université Paris-Saclay
- Funding of up to 10,000 € to support expenses connected to the laureate’s research activity in the host laboratory at Université Paris-Saclay.
