Chalmers intends to offer roughly 35 IPOET scholarships in 2024. For prospective fee-paying students, the Swedish Council for Higher Education provides financing for scholarships. Chalmers is responsible for managing and awarding the scholarships.

Eligibility: 

• 1st year Master’s programme applicants
• Citizens from non-EU/EEA countries are required to pay tuition fees for Swedish university studies.

Selection Criteria: 

A weighted average grade of at least 80% is typically used to establish the relative academic excellence of candidates, which forms the basis of the selection process. In addition, the application priority order for Chalmers Master’s programs and the prominence of the host university, particularly its position in international rankings, are taken into account.

• A 75% reduction of the tuition fees (4 semesters/2 year program)
• Students who excel during their first year of studies may receive an increased reduction, which covers 85% of the tuition fees during the second and final year of studies
• No funds are transferred to the scholarship laureates
