The Research Foundation – Flanders is providing PhD fellowships for strategic basic research to enhance scientists’ ability to think critically and strategically. This grant will be used to pursue novel and difficult Ph.D.-level research that will result in these applications with financial added value.
Eligibility for Belgium Fellowship:
- Affiliated to University in Flemish Community.
- Holder of Masters degree or equivalent from recognized University in Europe Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.
- Masters degree or equivalent diploma must not be more than three years old.
- Can apply for this fellowship no more than two times.
- Previous recipients of FWO fellowship are not eligible.
Documents Required:
- Submit FWO Online application form.
- Letter of Recommendation from Supervisor.
- Supervisor must also be associated with Flemish University.
Value of the Fellowship:
- Net monthly scholarship amount minimum €2,246.91.
- Fixed bench fee of €3,720 per year.
